Where we could roam the earth freely.

I remember a time when the earth had not yet been covered with bitumen and concrete, divided into plots, where everything was not put away in boxes, labeled, transformed into merchandise, condemned to be sold.

Where the vegetables were not frozen.

Where the fruits were not canned.

Where the water was not bottled.

I remember the uncertain time, when everything seemed possible.
I remember a time when we were not blazed after so much excess.
I remember a time when we were not civilized to the point of nausea.

I can't stand being locked in a cage anymore.
I can't stand being locked behind a screen anymore.
I can't stand being trapped in a simulacrum of life anymore.

Où nous pouvions parcourir la terre en liberté.

Je me souviens d’un temps où la terre n’avait pas encore été couverte de bitume et de béton, divisée en parcelles, où chaque chose n’était pas rangée dans cases, étiquetée, transformée en marchandise, condamnée a être vendue.

Où nous pouvions parcourir la terre en liberté.

Où les légumes n’étaient pas surgelés.

Où les fruits n’étaient pas mis en conserve.

Je veux être sauvage.
